Vice President, Financial Planning & Analysis Job Description: 

1. Direct the development of and ensure the integrity the annual operating plan (AOP) and Long-Range Strategic Plan and provide executive-level analysis . 

2. Direct the development of short- and long-term forecasts including identification of opportunities and risks, preparation of financial analyses and collection and interpretation of data from various internal sources to inform strategy and initiatives; prepare and present financial and business analysis to executive leadership to inform decisions and priorities. Work with CFO to prepare materials for review in the Monthly Business Review and Quarterly Board of Trustees Finance Committee.

3. Lead day-to-day business partnering efforts in support of all FP&A activities in business units and utilize data to generate insights to influence key stakeholders including C-level executives. Review and interpret monthly and quarterly financial results and key performance indicators in collaboration with cross-functional leaders against plan and other internal benchmarks.  

4. Develop, implement and execute the annual operating plan (AOP).  Review and monitor financial and operating performance to assure attainment of objectives.  Maintain an effective and efficient budget and capital planning discipline in conjunction with FP&A management team to ensure planned revenues, expenses and profit goals are met.

5. Select, mentor, coach and evaluate staff; establish and monitor appropriate employee performance objectives; prepare and present employee performance discussions, including one-on-one meetings and quarterly check-ins; implement mentoring and coaching plans, or disciplinary action, where appropriate.

6. Perform other duties as assigned or apparent.

What You Bring to the Table

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance or related area  

• Fifteen (15) years of progressively responsible experience in strategic planning and financial analysis, accounting or a related field

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master’s degree

• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial statements

• Excellent oral, written and presentation skills, as well as an ability to negotiate and influence at the most senior levels of an organization

• Superior analytical skills and an ability to apply these skills to influence and drive effective decision-making

• High level of creative, conceptual and strategic thinking abilities to support big picture concepts and goals of the company
