About The Role:
This role is a fantastic opportunity to work as an embedded resource with one of the largest Utilities in the United States. This position is responsible for a wide range of transmission ratings responsibilities for Facility Ratings, Ambient Adjusted Ratings, and Dynamic Line Ratings. Â

About The Role:
This role is a fantastic opportunity to work as an embedded resource with one of the largest Utilities in the United States. This position is responsible for a wide range of transmission ratings responsibilities for Facility Ratings, Ambient Adjusted Ratings, and Dynamic Line Ratings. Â
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support organizational compliance with NERC FAC-008 as well as FERC Order 881 under direction and guidance of ratings engineers
- Provide feedback, clarifications, and technical direction to project teams to ensure proper facility ratings models and processes are completed in a timely manner to meet compliance requirements
- Understand and effectively use tools and systems including SubTran, DDLR, and EMS that support the ratings process
- Create process documentation around the ratings process and suggest process improvements
- Update and maintain Bulk Electric System (BES) lists
- Provide ratings database reviews and updates
- Provide detailed tracking and reporting of ratings processes including outage requests, facility rating change requests, smart model submittals, and tracking project schedule statuses
- Provide look-ahead reporting to project teams to help ensure ratings processes are followed
Preferred Requirements:
- Familiarity with FERC/NERC and other regulations
- Familiarity with IEEE standards
- Proficient in both substation and transmission line ratings including equipment ratings
