Job Description
The Opportunity
The Requirements\Systems Engineer responsibilities include:
- Identification of requirements within specifications and contractual documentations
- Authoring Design Criteria documents in partnership with Engineering Teams
- Managing the program requirements compliance, verification and the proper flow-downs
- Supporting the definition and management of requirement risks
- Assisting in specification preparation for lower-level documents including compliance plans and reports
- Verification of requirements throughout the product design cycle including, participation in tests and reviewing verification reports
- Ensuring that artifacts of compliance are clearly traced to the originating source document
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Math or Science
- 5+ years’ experience in related aerospace industry in requirements management and/or systems engineering
- Familiarity with SAE ARP 4754, SAE ARP 4761, DO-160, DO-178 and DO-254 certification
- Writing of objective requirements, generating compliance and verification reports and supporting the validation processes
- Organizational skills and ability to produce a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Comprehension of electro-mechanical components and Electrical and Mechanical Engineering principles
- Possess a working knowledge of gas turbine engines, hardware and associated manufacturing techniques
- Interpersonal skills with effective negotiation and conflict-resolution experience
- Written communication skills and proficiency in document preparation
- U.S. citizenship is required
- Position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, if needed. Candidates selected may be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Compensation: $110 - 155k
