Senior Content Developer
Compensation: DOE 


The Senior Web Content Developer serves as the web development group’s lead technical resource and leads all phases of the web content application’s development life cycle. The Senior Web Content Developer will have an emphasis on analyzing complex business and technical problems to shape and deliver an entire system’s software components. The Senior Web Content Developer analyzes, configures, and tunes the underlying framework and infrastructure and is considered the subject matter expert on each system’s functionality, behavior and capabilities. The Senior Web Content Developer enforces software development standards and mentors less experienced developers.

PROJECT INFORMATION:
This project is targeted to bring together all public facing websites across our recent acquisitions and provide our customers with a single, unified digital presence.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develops and architects the Content Management System design including Digital Asset Modeling, Digital Asset Management, Digital Asset Migration, Asset Taxonomy, Content Authoring Workflow, and Content Publishing and Automation.
• Leads the development of the next generation web content platform.
• Creates an extensible content platform that can be leveraged for all digital needs.
• Builds internal and external facing API’s for the purposes of consuming and displaying content and other digital assets.
• Investigates and implements the most current Content Management System capabilities to serve Republic’s digital requirements.
• Partners with both internal and external development teams to develop solutions for digital content integration.
• Develops re-usable frameworks for content delivery and content migration.
• Defines and enforces best practices for optimal application and system uptime and system remediation and recovery requirements.
• Designs and develops new web and content modules that can be reused throughout the company.
• Defines and enforces best practices for optimal application and system uptime and system remediation and recovery requirements.
• Enforces software development standards and mentors less experienced developers.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Content Management System design, build, and integration. Drupal is a must.
• Developing and consuming RESTful web services.
• Experience deploying to cloud platforms such as AWS.
• Experience with e-commerce and JavaScript framework such as Angular and React.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, from a four-year college or university, or equivalent.
• Experience with agile software development methodologies, web development and object-oriented programming methodologies.
• Experience in developing highly transactional, mission critical applications.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• 5 years of relevant experience in software development, information systems, or an equivalent technical environment, including previous experience leading the development of highly transactional mission critical applications in environments for multi-user systems.
• Experience in all aspects of the software development lifecycle, including design, functional and technical requirements, coding, debugging, testing, release, and operational support.
• Experience with software development best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing and operations.
• Exceptional analytical skills.
• Exceptional verbal, written and listening communication skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and demeanor.
