QA Analyst
Compensation: 64/hr
The WMS Sr Quality Assurance Analyst should be well versed in testing and implementing end to end test strategy of Blue Yonder WMS(Warehouse Management System) in line with the strategic vision and product roadmap of US Foods Supply Chain Value Stream. The position should be strong in identifying, understanding, recommending, and implementing QA practices in terms of tools, and processes, within a Team for continuous testing and delivery.
Ideal candidate should have in-depth knowledge of warehouse operations such as Receiving, Putaway, Picking, Packing, Shipping, Inventory Management, and Cycle Counting processes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Test Deliverables:
o Perform end to end testing across Supply Chain Warehouse Management System landscape primarily Blue Yonder Warehouse Management System
o Perform end-to-end functional testing covering Receiving, Putaway, Picking, Packing, Shipping, Inventory Management, and Cycle Counting processes.
o Perform end-to-end functional testing covering ASRS functionalities like automated storage, retrieval, putaway, and replenishment processes.
o Prepare and maintain detailed Test Plans, Test Cases, Regression Test Suites, Test Results, and Defect Documentation.
o Review test deliverables, including automation scripts and test results, prepared by peers.
Requirement Analysis and Validation:
o Understand business requirements and validate them through testing, ensuring alignment with the Agile/Scrum delivery model.
o Collaborate with Product Owners and Business Leads to refine requirements and improve test coverage.
Application Testing:
o Deliver a bug-free application to UAT/Production by uncovering defects using complex real-time test data.
o Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with end users and Product Owners.
o Provide support during WMS go-lives, deployments, and upgrades.
Test Data Preparation:
o Engage in test data preparation and optimization activities across Blue Yonder WMS and all legacy systems.
SDLC and Test Automation:
o Understand Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) activities for delivering custom-developed and packaged applications.
o Assess automation scope and define non-functional test scopes, such as performance and security testing, as needed.
Quality and Best Practices:
o Recommend and implement best practices to improve overall design, testability, quality, and test reporting.
o Identify and document best practices for high-quality and on-schedule releases.
Collaboration and Coordination:
o Collaborate with vendors and coordinate with resources from various vendors.
o Actively engage with team members to foster a culture of quality and collaboration.
Metrics and Reporting:
o Generate QA Dashboards to depict test metrics and provide actionable insights.
o Deliver detailed test reports and recommend process improvements.
Other Responsibilities:
o Perform other duties as assigned by the manager or team lead.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• 8+ years of IT QA experience with minimum 3+ years working as an individual contributor testing Blue Yonder Warehouse Management Systems
• Strong understanding of warehouse processes: Receiving, Picking, Shipping, Putaway, Inventory Checks, Cycle Counting, Selection, Order Management
• Proven experience testing ASRS functionalities like automated storage, retrieval, putaway, and replenishment processes
• Proven experience Validating slotting algorithms, automated bin allocation, and space utilization logic.
• Strong understanding of Testing real-time inventory visibility, cycle counts, and reconciliation with ASRS systems.
• Proven experience performing End-to-end testing across any Legacy warehouse management system with legacy IBM AS400 systems (Good to have)
• Strong abilities and/or a proven record of success in test methodologies and integration of business applications to achieve an efficient testing effort that delivers a quality system
• Backend/Database experience with one of the following – SQL, MongoDB, any of the non-relational Databases.
• Strong QA foundation and ability to perform Integration testing, back-end testing, database validation skills (Mongo DB), Web service/API testing experience (POSTMAN/SoapUI),
• Experience with Middleware (Kafka queue) and End to End Regression testing experience
• Strong experience on front end & backend Test automation using Selenium/Cypress/ industry standard Tools (Good to have)
• Basic knowledge of CI/CD
• Test Management Tools: Jira/Confluence/TestRail
• Experience testing in Agile Teams
