Lead Safety/ Systems Engineer

Job Description
The Safety Engineer responsibilities include:
- System Safety Analysis and Planning
- Safety Assessment Reporting
- Fault Tree Generation
- Functional Hazard Assessments
- Failure Modes Effects Analysis
- Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis
- Maintainability Program Plans and Procedures
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in safety principles
- Experience in conducting system safety analysis including fault tree creation, system hazard analysis, FMEA and FMECA generation, reliability disciplines and failure investigations
- Knowledge and practice using MIL-STD-882, DI-SAFT-80102, and/or SAE ARP4761
- Familiarity with MIL-STD-1629, DI-SESS-81495, SAE ARP5580 (SAE ARP4754) and/or ASTM F3230
- Construction of fault analysis per SAE ARP926 or similar
- Possess a working knowledge of gas turbine engines with an intermediate to advanced knowledge of turbomachinery failure modes
- Comprehension of electro-mechanical components and Electrical and Mechanical Engineering principles
- Ability to assess system designs for maintainability and develop work instructions
- Knowledge of gas turbine engine hardware and associated manufacturing techniques
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient using of Microsoft Office tools
- U.S. citizenship is required. Position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, if needed. Candidates selected may be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Compensation: $110 - 150k
