Electrical Process Control Engineer

Job Description
Compensation: $115K DOE/DOQ
Location: On-site, but relocation is offered.
JOB DESCRIPTION provide technical expertise for designing, maintaining, and modifying the complex control systems used for process control and safety shutdown.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide technical support, and training to the site regarding process control systems, process instrumentation, DCS, PLC, and power distribution.
· Plan, design, estimate, manage and startup instrumentation and automation projects, including capital projects. Assume responsibility for the instrumentation and process automation portions of broad, multifunctional projects.
· Implement continuous improvement opportunities
· Support production and maintenance departments in continuous improvement, yield improvement, and efficiency improvements.
· Work with internal resources, equipment vendors, and contractors to ensure successful implementation of projects
· Provide leadership to safety program through continuous improvement to the electrical programs, including lock-out-tag-out, arc flash protection, and system maintenance.
· Provide leadership around maintenance, testing and inspection, and upgrades of electrical infrastructure and power distribution equipment, including high voltage
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
· At least 5 years’ experience working in an industrial manufacturing
· Experience with variable frequency drives, PLC programming, and HMI programming. Experience with Foxboro DCS and Allen Bradley PLCs.
· Experience with troubleshooting and maintenance of power distribution systems, including switchgear and transformers.
· Track record in delivering projects on time and in budget, while meeting project goals.
