JOB DESCRIPTION Â Title: Electrical Design Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with customers to define the electrical interface components for aerospace applications
- Create the design requirements, including system design, component design and design for manufacturability.
- Learn, understand and apply different heating system technologies available for voltage-based aircraft.
- apply Thermal Analysis to aerospace components
- Assist Production Personnel on the proper use of electrical measuring equipment.
- Assist Product Support personnel with electrical system questions on transparencies in service.
- Assist Qualification Test Engineers with the electrical setup for testing.
- Interact with customers, sales, product support engineering, program management, manufacturing, quality and regulatory agencies is required.
- Will actively participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) process during Technical Reviews
- Remain technically aware of industry trends, government regulations, customer requirements to personally contribute suggestions and recommendations
- Minimum Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field required.
- 5+ years’ experience in the Aerospace Industry is preferred.
- Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- AutoCAD or similar required.
- An understanding of DO-160 Environmental Conditions and Test Procedures for Airborne Equipment is a plus.
- Experience with SolidWorks or other 3D modeling.
- Experience with SolidWorks PDM or similar.
- Experience with VisSim/Altair Embed.
- Must be a US citizen.
