Job Description
Senior Wire Harness Designer – Electrical & Mechanical Focus (Hybrid)
Sterling Heights, MI (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)
$50–$60/hr | W2 Contract
Are you an experienced Creo designer with a strong background in wire harness and cable assembly design? Join a dynamic team supporting the development of military ground vehicles. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact designs in a collaborative, fast-paced engineering environment.
What You’ll Do:

Design and draft both electrical and mechanical aspects of electrical/electronic equipment.

Create and revise wiring diagrams and schematics from concept through production.

Develop designs for line replaceable unit (LRU) chassis, housing, and system packaging.

Select components such as electrical connectors, wire, shielding, lugs, and accessories.

Produce CAD drawings and schematic diagrams for internal teams and external vendors.
What You Bring:
-
5+ years of hands-on Creo experience, including Pro-Cable for harness/cable design.
-
Expertise in designing and routing wiring harnesses and cable assemblies.
-
Background in military ground vehicle electrical systems preferred.
-
Familiarity with MIL-STD-100, ANSI Y14.5/14.41, and GD&T.
-
Experience using Visio Technical and logical data from Siemens Capital Harness.

Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team.

Associate degree + 9 years of relevant experience

Bachelor’s degree + 5 years of relevant experience

Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite per week

Drug screen and background check required

Candidates must have Creo Cabling and Wire Harness experience – these are non-negotiable
