Cloud Engineer
We are looking for a bright, enthusiastic Cloud Engineer to be part of a lean team responsible for the maintenance and optimization of our AWS Data Lake infrastructure, including AWS Redshift, DMS, Glue, Storage Gateway, Transfer Family, Lambda, and S3.
Key Accountabilities and Priorities:
• Manage and maintain AWS Redshift clusters for optimal performance and scalability.
• Implement and monitor AWS DMS for data migration and replication.
• Develop and optimize ETL workflows using AWS Glue.
• Administer Storage Gateway for data transfer between environments.
• Utilize AWS Transfer Family for secure file transfer protocols.
• Design and implement serverless solutions using AWS Lambda.
• Oversee the organization and storage of data within AWS S3 buckets.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
Required Education and/or Experience:
• Proven experience working with AWS Redshift, DMS, Glue, Lambda, and S3.
• Strong proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Boto3) for automation tasks.
• Experience with AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) for Infrastructure as Code.
• In-depth knowledge of data lake architecture and best practices.
• Experience optimizing and troubleshooting performance bottlenecks in AWS environments.
• Familiarity with security best practices and compliance standards in AWS.
• Experience with other AWS services and technologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• AWS certifications in relevant areas (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Data Analytics).
• Proven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Hospitality Industry experience a plus
