Business Solutions Architect III

Compensation: $118,000-$165,000

JOB DETAIL

Please note: This position has the possibility to work remotely up to 100% of the time. The position will require occasional travel to the Phoenix corporate offices and/or site locations . This position may be performed anywhere in the U.S. except California, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Michigan, Illinois, Kentucky and New York.  Additional states may be excluded from remote work based on business factors.  Should the positions shift to in-office work in the future, the company will offer relocation benefits at that time should the position meet the established eligibility for these benefits.

Description
Act as a liaison between the MIS group and business units for the development and implementation of new systems and enhancement of existing systems. Evaluates new applications and identifies systems requirements. Evaluates new IT developments and evolving business requirements, and recommends appropriate systems alternatives and/or enhancements to current systems. Prepares communications and makes presentations on system enhancements and/or alternatives.
 
- Manage initiation activities for system solutions to meet business needs for assigned areas
- Ensure system analysis designs and process maps are documented and communicated with Business Executives and Senior Management
- Analyze business and systems needs in terms of functional and technical requirements including MIS, Process Technology and Business Process solutions; manage appropriate action based on proposed solutions
- Work closely with assigned business areas globally to define business-centric requirements and evaluate available and/or custom system solution options
- Provide a medium level of business-centric expertise to global MIS projects
- Work with the custom, packaged, business intelligence, and operations platform project teams on building and executing Finance and Administration (F&A) business systems project plans and support
- Collaborate partnership with internal and external teams to identify key suppliers, strategic alliances, and required process improvements
- Understand the tactical and strategic plans of Operations Management in order to support and promote a MIS strategy that aligns with the business area processes and operations
- Gain a high-level understanding of all systems and processes that support the Operations Management business processes, while specializing in a few specific business areas
- Work with Business Process Owners to understand the tactical and strategic plans to support the business process and operations
- Analyze potential business problems to determine MIS, Process Technology and Business Process portions of proposed solution
- Manage appropriate action based on proposed solutions
- Where applicable, lead and motivate business analysts and other platform employees
- Effectively coach and mentor department employees to develop stronger functional and technical skills for the applications they are aligned to support
Identify MIS related user satisfaction issues within assigned business processes
- Communicate issues to MIS Management and lead resolution of these issues within MIS
- Stay current on new business processes and/or new technologies that may impact business operations, process and information systems technology and methodology strategies, facilitation techniques and project management concepts

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and eight (8) years of experience in Information Services, Process Technology field with previous Service Management experience including five (5) years of Project Management/Leadership experience on large system implementations
- Strong understanding of SOX 404, HAL, Hyperion Enterprise
- Strong knowledge of requirements analysis and development; as well as operations management

- Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English
- Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards
- Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment
- Position is in busy, non-smoking office located in downtown Phoenix, AZ
- Location requires mobility in an office environment; each floor is accessible by elevator
- Occasionally work may be performed in a mine, outdoor or manufacturing plant setting, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, toxic chemicals, explosives, fumes or airborne particles
- Must be able to frequently, sit, stand, and walk
- Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to ten (10) pounds
- Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required

Compensation:

The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $118,000-$165,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional incentive compensation considerations based on company and individual performance.  Additionally, this position is currently eligible for annual long-term incentive consideration.  Long-term incentives are contingent upon authorized approval under the terms and conditions of the Company's plan and award agreements.  More details will be shared during the hiring process
