Business Analyst
Compensation: DOE
Primary BA for Platform team. Responsible for Agile Backlog and bi-annual platform upgrades
Communication Management, Release Note preparation, Authoring SOPs, and test cases writing/validation
PROJECT INFORMATION:
Rebuilding ITSM module, Including Incident, Request, Change, and Problem management process.
Platform Upgrade in October
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Backlog Management: Own and maintain the ServiceNow backlog, ensuring continuous grooming, prioritization, and alignment with business objectives.
• Demand Management: Participate in demand management activities to capture, evaluate, and prioritize incoming requests based on business value and feasibility.
• Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to capture and document business requirements, translating them into actionable user stories.
• Platform Upgrades: Oversee ServiceNow platform upgrades from planning through post-deployment validation, identifying risks and coordinating with technical teams.
• ITSM Alignment: Ensure all enhancements and solutions conform to IT Service Management (ITSM) best practices, including ITIL frameworks.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Agile team and Scrum Master to facilitate sprint planning, refine user stories, and ensure successful delivery.
• Testing and Validation: Write and perform test cases to verify platform functionality and ensure quality deliverables.
• Release Documentation: Write and distribute release notes detailing new features, enhancements, and known issues to stakeholders.
• Process and SOP Management: Write and update Standard Operating Procedures to ensure consistent and efficient use of the ServiceNow platform.
• Continuous Improvement: Analyze current processes, recommend improvements, and help drive adoption of new features and workflows.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years of Business Analyst or Project Coordinator experience, including Agile methodologies.
• 2+ years managing an Agile backlog, writing user stories, and coordinating releases.
• Demonstrated proficiency in ServiceNow with proven experience performing platform upgrades.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Solid process improvement, analytical and problem-solving capabilities, especially for identifying and remedying platform-related issues.
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) or Implementation Specialist certification.
• Scrum Master or Product Owner certification (CSM, CSPO) a plus.
• ITIL Foundation (v3 or v4) desired.
