Job Description
Seeking an Applications Developer in Midland, TX.
Must have 3+ years of experience developing apps using Microsoft Power Platform in O&G.
General Responsibilities
- Enable business operations with custom tools and apps that provide intuitive access to data, streamlined task execution, and process visibility.
- Build and deploy responsive, user-friendly Power Apps solutions that digitize and automate manual field and back-office processes (e.g., inspection checklists, field ticketing, asset management).
- Automate workflows and processes using Power Automate, integrating with internal tools, SharePoint, email, and business systems.
- Recommend tools, design patterns, and best practices for app development and integration
- Use robust, secure API integrations to connect enterprise systems, cloud services, and user-facing tools.
- Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and data developers to deliver cohesive, production-ready solutions.
- Own the full lifecycle of application delivery from technical design and development to testing, documentation, deployment, and support.
- Mentor junior team members and help establish standards and reusable components for broader solution development.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
Required Qualifications
- BS/BA in Computer Science, Business, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience developing apps using Microsoft Power Platform in O&G.
- 5+ years of IT expertise in systems integration, software development, and/or solution engineering.
- 3+ years of oil and gas industry experience.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse)
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with API development and integration in enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of Databricks, Azure SQL, Python and DAX (or equivalent tools) a plus
- Experience working with structured/unstructured data from industrial sources (e.g., sensors, PLCs, SCADA).
