Compensation: DOE 
 
The Application Administrator is responsible for configuring and supporting applications and partnering with business application users. The Application Administrator is a point of contact and subject matter expert in all functional and operational aspects of at least one business software application, partners with the business to provide IT support for organizational initiatives or activities and leads special projects. The Application Administrator also is responsible for mentoring and assisting less experienced Application Administrators or Specialists to resolve complex problems.

PROJECT INFORMATION:
The focus of this project will be to upgrade Republic Services’ Trux platform. We are currently multiple versions behind the latest build, so the resources assigned to this project will be responsible for successfully configuring the environment, testing, generating user documentation, and helping to train end users.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Configures and supports complex software application issues experienced by end users promptly and professionally.
• Serves as the primary point of contact between IT and assigned functional business areas for routine application configuration improvement projects.
• Partners to diagnose and resolve complex software application issues escalated by other members of the software application team.
• Ensures that accurate and effective solutions are provided to end users and that end user support needs are met with a consistently high quality of service.
• Engages appropriate IT and business resources to resolve technical issues and support business processes while updating users on progress toward resolution.
• Acts as a coach and mentor for newer or less experienced team members.
• Performs IT-related activities for projects to support the company priorities within the Post Collections space.
• Identifies and recommends system modifications to reduce user issues.
• Conduct user acceptance testing for enhancements/modifications to the platform.
• Fully documents each issue and resolution using the incident tracking system.
• Apprises team, peers, and management of any new support issues in a clear and timely manner.
• Documents processes and procedures for training IT team and end users.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum 2 years of experience with configuring, administrating, and supporting end user applications (e.g. Post Collections, Order to Cash, Fleet Management, Finance, Human Resources).
• Demonstrated ability to use structured query language (SQL) to analyze and manipulate data.
• Experience writing reports, business correspondence, and end user procedures/manuals.
• Excellent time management and ability to work remotely with team members across multiple time zones.
• Experience in the waste and/or recycling industry
• Experience with scale management software – e.g. AMCS Trux Weigh-IT or Haul-IT, PC Scale, Platform, etc.
• Ability to partner with third-party software application vendors and implementation partners.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Business systems analytical experience, including the ability to flow chart processes and diagram high-level system architecture.
• Experience with SOX audit controls.
• Background in finance operations/applications
