We are seeking a Buyer II to support direct procurement efforts for advanced lunar exploration systems, with a focus on sourcing components and materials for NASA’s Human Landing System (HLS) and related lunar programs. In this role, you’ll issue RFQs, evaluate supplier proposals, draft price analyses, and contribute to key sourcing decisions in compliance with FAR and DFARS regulations. Working closely with commodity managers, engineers, and supply chain leaders, you'll help ensure timely and cost-effective procurement aligned with mission-critical timelines.
The ideal candidate has at least three years of procurement experience and a strong understanding of government contracting requirements, including price reasonableness determinations, cost analyses, and flowdown management. Experience in sourcing avionics, machined parts, or raw materials is highly desirable. Familiarity with tools such as Costpoint, Windchill, and SharePoint is a plus. This is a high-impact position offering exposure to a range of supply chain systems and collaboration across engineering and program teams working to support next-generation lunar missions.
Compensation: $45.00/hr.
