Position: CNC Operator - Aerospace Components Fabrication
Location: Merritt Island FL
Rate: $40.25/HR
Shift: D Shift, Friday – Sunday, 6pm – 6:30am
Overtime: Expected 10 hours weekly

This pivotal role contributes to the advancement of space exploration by ensuring the development, fabrication, and inspection of precision tubes and assemblies for space launch vehicles. With a focus on utilizing advanced automated bending equipment, your efforts will play a crucial role in pioneering efforts to make space more accessible.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and creation of tube assemblies using automated bending equipment.
  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of tube fabrication from design to inspection.
  • Apply technical expertise and leadership skills to drive quality and safety in human spaceflight operations.
  • Work within a dynamic team environment, adapting to changing roles and responsibilities with a focus on collaboration and problem-solving.

Qualifications:
  • 5-7 years of aerospace industry experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years in CNC operating roles.
  • Proficiency with mechanical tools and fabrication equipment (e.g., band saws, chop saws, grinders, drills).
  • Skilled in using precision measurement tools to ensure tight tolerances.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Windows and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces.
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and capacity for learning.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must meet work authorization requirements applicable to ITAR.

Desired Skills:
  • 3-4 years of CNC tube bending experience.
  • Experience with CNC programming.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD tools, preferably CREO, and understanding of GD&T standards.
  • Experience with vector measuring machines for tube assembly inspection.
  • Familiarity with operating heavy lifting equipment in sensitive environments.
  • Clean room experience and the ability to work closely with engineering teams to refine designs and processes.
